MGC Civil was engaged by ADCO Construction Pty Ltd under a lump sum contract to assist with the delivery of a new Bunnings Warehouse facility in Clarkson.
The first element of work involved a full site clearance to remove and dispose of all existing trees, grass and other vegetation from the site.
The second element involved bulk earthwork excavation to create the area that would later become the basement car park. A challenge that was overcome by the MGC team related to delivering the works on budget and on programme in an area notorious for difficult ground conditions due to the high volume of limestone found in the region. Upon completion of the bulk earthworks, the MGC team undertook detailed cut to fill earthworks to achieve the required design levels.
Lastly, MGC Civil constructed all asphalt car parks and roads (approximately 16,000m2) and prepared all concrete roadways and building pads for the appointed concrete sub-contractor (Approximately 6,000m2).
