MGC Civil was established by Daniel in partnership with his brother nearly a decade ago and he has been a driving force behind its growth and development. Daniel has been involved with the construction industry for over 20 years having commenced as machine operator, before moving into site management and then project and business management.

In his capacity as General Manager, Daniel is responsible for the overall performance of all projects being undertaken by MGC Civil. The strong administrative structure behind the MGC Civil business allows Daniel to take a very hands on role with all projects being undertaken by the business. Daniel prides himself on ensuring MGC Civil projects exceed the expectations of its clients.

In his capacity as Chief Financial Officer, Patrick is focused on establishing and controlling the financial, program and risk management frameworks, systems and services of the organisation that support effective achievement of the financial and business objectives contained in the Business Plan.

Murray has been with MGC Civil for over seven years, has over 25 years of civil construction experience and holds a National Higher Diploma in Civil Engineering from Natal Technikon in South Africa (Degree accredited in Australia).

Murray provides general construction oversight and direction for all projects being undertaken by MGC Civil, ensuring that our projects are delivered on time and budget and of the highest quality. Murray has strong project management skills and excellent knowledge of authority regulations, OH&S regulations and quality assurance systems.

Isla has worked as an office manager for the past 17 years, with 10 of those years in the engineering and construction sectors.  Isla has extensive experience as an Office Manager and Personal Assistant across a broad spectrum of organisations and has supported many companies, General Managers and Senior Management Teams.

Isla is results driven with a wealth of experience in the construction sector and a valuable member of the MGC Civil team. She believes that open communication is paramount to any business and often the key to success. Isla enjoys a varied finance and administration role, she enjoys overcoming obstacles, loves problem solving and reacting to the business needs.

Torren has over 14 years’ experience in Civil Construction industry and started with MGC Civil over 6 years ago, as a head drainer.  Torrens practical experience in the Civil construction field, includes the installation of underground services, roadworks and earthworks which, coupled with his own personal motivation and Certificate 4 in Health and Safety has lead him to his current role as our in house HSEQ Coordinator.

Torrens extensive practical experience gives him a greater ability to identify and manage risk, develop the appropriate controls and to manage both employee and sub-contractor legislative compliance, ensuring that the MGC Civil Core Values and Safety Culture are respected and are upheld.

Ashley has been with MGC Civil for seven years having joined the company as Site Supervisor. Prior to working as a Site Supervisor, Ashley worked as a machine operator and general hand and holds a range of machine operator tickets and licences.

In his capacity as Site Supervisor, Ashley is responsible to ensure that company objectives for profit, program, quality, safety and environmental performance for each project are achieved. The Site Supervisor is responsible for running the job site, coordinating site crews, coordinating subcontractors, coordinating the purchase of required materials and time management of the job.

CAREER OVERVIEW

Shane has been with MGC Civil for two years, having joined the company as Senior Site Surveyor. Prior to joining MGC Civil, Shane worked as supervising surveyor and holds a diploma of engineering and mine surveyor.

At MGC Civil, Shane ensures that company objectives for profit, program, quality, safety and environmental performance for each project are achieved. The Site Surveyor is responsible for making exact measurements so as to determine the boundary, contour and elevation of land, its features and the location of services/infrastructure to ensure MGC Civil projects are constructed in accordance with the agreed contract and construction documentation
