MGC CIVIL WAS ENGAGED BY PROGRESS DEVELOPMENTS TO DELIVER A FULL CIVIL WORKS PACKAGE AT THE PARKSIDE PRIVATE ESTATE, DAYTON. THE PROJECT COMPRISED OF 30 GREEN TITLE LOTS.
Construction included sewer and water reticulation, stormwater drainage, common trench electrical, gas and communication services. Full construction of limestone retaining walls.
Full construction of asphalt roads including concrete kerbing, footpaths, signage and line marking.
A major challenge for the MGC Civil Team was the installation of the sewer along Arthur St, due to its proximity to the school, live services and the high groundwater table. The sewer and stormwater infrastructure on this project was up to 6m below the surface and up to 4m below the groundwater level. A large dewatering system, including a chemical dosing unit, retention and filtration ponds, was installed to mitigate this.
