MGC CIVIL WAS ENGAGED BY SUNCENTRO PTY LTD TO DELIVER THE EARTHWORKS AND
CIVIL WORKS PACKAGE AT THE BROOKSIDE WATERS ESTATE – STAGE 2, LAKE RD, CHAMPION LAKES.
Construction included 40,333m³ of net fill, 36,336m² of final trim and preparation, sewer and water reticulation, stormwater drainage, common trench electrical, gas and communication services. Full construction of limestone retaining walls. Full construction of asphalt roads including concrete kerbing, footpaths, signage and line marking.
A challenge of the project was the lack of availability of limestone blocks in the marketplace. The programme was adjusted to suit the pace of wall construction, resulting in no time delays.
Imported Clean Fill was supplied and delivered by the Client. Not having control of this item added to the complexity of the project.
