MGC CIVIL WAS ENGAGED BY NAVABUTO WEST TO DELIVER THE EARTHWORKS AND
CIVIL WORKS PACKAGE AT THE HILBERT GREEN ESTATE – STAGE 2, AT ELEVENTH ROAD, HILBERT.
Construction included 8,300m³ of net fill, 13,500m² of final trim and preparation, sewer and water reticulation, stormwater drainage, common trench electrical, gas and communication services. Also, Full construction of asphalt roads including concrete kerbing, footpaths and signage.
A challenge of the project was a shortage of available clean fill in the marketplace. Given that this item is required at the start of a project, this placed immediate pressure on the programme. Also, a water table higher than indicated prior to the commencement eventuated, resulting in dewatering being required unexpectedly. The highlight for the MGC Civil Team was the completion of the project on time, with the client extremely happy with the high standard of work delivered.
