MGC CIVIL WAS ENGAGED BY JARDIM PROPERTY TO DELIVER THE EARTHWORKS AND
CIVIL WORKS PACKAGE AT THE TORRENOVA STAGE 1 PROJECT IN TORRENOVA WAY,
SINAGRA.
Construction included 20,835m³ of cut to fill, 35,612m² of final trim and preparation, sewer and water reticulation, stormwater drainage, common trench electrical, gas and communication services. Also included was the full construction of limestone retaining walls, full construction of asphalt roads including concrete kerbing, footpaths, signage and line marking.
This project contained many complexities. A considerable amount of retaining was required, totalling over 30,000 blocks. Deep services were required on half of the site, with the sewer 8m deep. This resulted in the programme for this half of the site running separately from the programme for the other half of the site, which had services placed at more traditional levels. Materials supply issues required the programme
flexibility to suit availability.
A highlight for the MGC Civil Team was the solutions-based focus of all involved, resulting in a Client exceedingly satisfied with the high standard of work and the quality of the finished development.
