MGC CIVIL WAS ENGAGED BY ORIGIN PROJECTS TO DELIVER A FULL CIVIL WORKS PACKAGE AT THE MATARO PRIVATE ESTATE STAGE 2, DAYTON. THE PROJECT COMPRISED OF 26 GREEN TITLE LOTS.
Construction included bulk earthworks, sewer and water reticulation, stormwater drainage, common trench electrical, gas and communication services. Also, the full construction of limestone retaining walls, the full construction of asphalt roads, including concrete kerbing, footpaths, signage and line marking.
A challenge of the project was the installation of the underground services, due to the high groundwater table. Groundwater was just over 1m below surface level at locations across the site, with the sewer and stormwater infrastructure at levels 4m below surface level. This resulted in a large dewatering system, including a chemical dosing unit, retention and filtration ponds being required. A highlight was various adjacent landowners engaging us to complete the Civil works on the development of their own Lots.
